This legal drama takes its name from the street address of the criminal division of the New York County Supreme Court. It is about the lives and work of the judges, attorneys and staff who work there.

Based on the book by Isaac Wright, Jr. titled "Marked for Life: One Man's Fight for Justice from the Inside", Wright, initially sentenced to life plus 70 years in Trenton State Prison, used the prison library to educate himself in the law and helped overturn the wrongful convictions of dozens of his fellow inmates before ultimately representing himself, proving his own innocence, and bringing down the powerful and corrupt men that had aligned against him. As a paralegal with the Inmate Legal Association, Wright appealed his case and eventually uncovered the smoking gun that unraveled the conspiracy perpetrated by law enforcement officials against him. Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson co-directed the series, and had a small supporting role.

Set at a fictional New York City law firm, it follows Mike Ross who uses his photographic memory to talk his way into a job as an associate working for successful "closer" attorney Harvey Specter despite being a college dropout who never attended law school (although he has passed the LSAT multiple times as an illegal proxy). Suits focuses on Harvey and Mike winning lawsuits and closing cases, while at the same time hiding Mike's secret.

The series is about twin brothers with very different lives. One brother is a criminal while the other brother is a renowned judge. After the judge goes missing, his twin assumes his identity until furthur notice. He begins to see and understand the stakes of the job.
