Alumni PCs
Two PCs dedicated to Alumni use are found in room L208.1.  These workstations also offer word processing and other applications, and accommodate network printing and downloading of documents.

Bloomberg Terminal
A standalone Bloomberg Terminal, a sophistical tool for comprehensive research in the corporate and financial services area is available in the Multimedia Room (L208.1).

Library Computer Labs
The library has four computer labs on the L2 level L203, L205, L206, L207), each containing sixteen Windows PCs.  These are used for classes and instructional sessions, but when free are available for Alumni use. Please note due to Microsoft licensing restrictions, MS Office programs in the computer labs are no longer available to Alumni. Please use the dedicated Alumni terminals in L208.1 for MS Office applications, or log into your personal Office365 account through the browser.

Wireless Network Access
Alumni can access the Internet and networked resources on their laptops and other devices through the NYLSGuest wireless network.  Logging on to this network requires a registration code, which changes every day.  Ask at the Reference or Circulation Desk for that day’s code.

Printing/Copying/Scanning
NYLS uses the OneCard system to charge for printing to the networked machines located in Room L100, and adjacent to the computer labs in room L204. The cost is $0.10 per page.  If you brought your NYLS Alumni OneCard, you may add print funds to your FlexFund account using cash or a credit card at vending points located on the first floor of 185 West Broadway near the Café L'Express, and the fifth floor vending area. If you forgot your OneCard, you may purchase a Guest Card for $1.00, and add funds to it at those same vending points.

The Library has 3 high quality flatbed scanners (Room L100 and L300). Scanning is free. These scanners can scan books and documents into a variety of formats - searchable PDF, Word Doc, JPEG, TIFF and PNG formats in color, greyscale or black and white. Files can be saved to a USB drive, Google Drive, sent via email, Office 365 or sent to a smartphone .

Visitor Technology Guide
The library has compiled a Visitor Technology Services Guide that contains detailed instructions for accessing the wireless network, printing and scanning.  .
