This Research Skills Workshop (RSW) in intended to help re-enforce an understanding of the core concepts of Jurisdiction and Authority that have already been introduced to you in Legal Practice.
Until you have a solid understanding of these interrelated legal concepts, you will spend vastly more time than needed in legal research, and, it is very likely that the answers you come up with will be incorrect.
In addition, the RSW will briefly touch on the categories of secondary sources (Legal Dictionaries, Legal Encyclopedias and Legal Treatises) that you are most likely to use in Legal Practice I and Legal Practice II.
