  • Preview of the United States Supreme Court Cases. American Bar Association. Monthly newsletter (8 issues per year) summarizing the leading cases before the current term of the Supreme Court; includes links to briefs.
  • Columbia International Affairs Online (CIAO). Columbia University (monthly). Comprehensive source for research materials in international affairs, including working papers from university institutes, foundation-funded projects, policy briefs, journals and conference proceedings; monthly bulletin provides links to the latest additions.
  • Chronicle of Higher Education. (Daily)

Email Alerts

Subscribing to any or all of the following titles is easy: click on the indicated links and provide the requested information (usually your name and email address). These email alerts will be sent directly to your email account. If you would like assistance or if you have any questions, please contact your Library Liaison—he or she will be more than happy to help set up or revise any subscriptions/alerts.

  • New York Law Journal and Daily News Alerts. (Daily). Follow this link for instructions on signing up for ALM News Alerts, including alerts to the New York Law Journal. You will receive daily email alerts for articles in the publications you’ve chosen. Note that the links in the email alerts you receive may not give you access to the full texts of the articles. The only way to access the full texts of the articles is to employ one of the methods described in the “Current Content” section of this guide.
  • ABA Journal Daily Newsletter. Register to receive breaking legal news, analysis and feature stories from the editors of the flagship magazine of the American Bar Association. For other online options, including the free Law News Now App (available for Android as well as iPad and iPhone), click here.
  • Bloomberg Subscription & Alert Management. Registered NYLS users of Bloomberg Law can subscribe to weekly email notifications of developments in bankruptcy, corporate law, labor & employment, privacy & data security, securities and Tax.

  • Law360 (Daily). Breaking legal news and expert analysis over a wide variety of practice areas and across a broad spectrum of industries. To subscribe to the daily newsletters of your choice based on subjects/practice areas and industries: Under Electronic Resources on the Library’s home page click on Law360 and then click the Sign-in link located on the upper right side of the Law360 homepage. Your username will be your NYLS email address and the password is << nyls >>. If “New York Law School” appears on the upper right side of the page instead of a sign-in link, click New York Law School and then click Newsletter Signup.
  • Federal Register Table of Contents Service. U.S. Gov’t Publishing Office (Daily). The daily Table of Contents bulletin includes links to the actual text of the Federal Register. To subscribe: click here and enter your email address.
  • Legal Scholarship Network. Social Science Research Network. (Weekly). LSN electronic abstracting service alerts subscribers to working papers and articles accepted for publication. NYLS has a site license to allow faculty members to establish an individual profile for specific subject areas. Each person must join our site license and initiate his or her own profile. To subscribe: go to click here and then click “First-time user? Free Registration.” If you already subscribe, enter your user ID and password to sign in.
